Cooked turkey is a food and block from Autumnity obtained by smelting raw turkey.

Obtaining

Mob loot

An adult turkey drops one cooked turkey if killed while on fire. The maximum is increased by 1 per level of Looting, for a maximum of 4 with Looting III.

Cooking

Raw turkey can be cooked in a furnace, smoker, or campfire. Each piece of cooked turkey removed from a furnace output slot gives 0.35 experience (22.4 experience per stack).

Breaking

Unlike cakes, cooked turkeys drop themselves in item form when broken. If a cooked turkey block is partially consumed, it drops the appropriate number of cooked turkey pieces instead.

Usage

Like cake, cooked turkey must first be placed on top of a solid block in order to be eaten. Placing the cooked turkey on a slab also works, as the slab acts like a solid block. The cooked turkey instead floats half a block on top of the slab. When eaten, cooked turkey restores hunger and saturation equivalent to that of a cooked turkey piece.. As with other food blocks, consuming a turkey block while Foul Taste is active increases the stats of consumption, while decreasing the effect's multiplier.

If the supporting block below a block of cooked turkey is removed, it spawns a falling block entity. If a turkey block falls on an entity's head while the entity does not have an item equipped in its head armor slot, the cooked turkey will be equipped on the entity's head. Mobs that would ordinarily catch on fire in sunlight, such as zombies and skeletons, will not catch on fire while wearing a turkey. Cooked turkey can be equipped on players in this manner as well; it does not provide any armor points or special resistances when worn.

  • Entities that can equip turkey blocks can be found in the entity type tag autumnity:can_wear_turkey.
  • Mobs that are equipped with turkey heads in this manner are not made persistent, so they are still prone to despawning via vanilla mechanics.

Redstone

When connected to a comparator, a whole cooked turkey emits a signal strength of 10. The signal strength decreases two units with each piece consumed.

Trivia

  • Like raw turkey, cooked turkey can be enchanted with enchantments (such as the Curse of Binding or Curse of Vanishing) in an anvil. However, these are removed when the item is placed in block form.
  • Cooked turkey cannot be equipped on armor stands in survival, as the turkey fails to collide properly with the stand. However, it can be equipped via the use of commands such as /item replace.
