Usage

Instrument

Freshly crafted tuning forks do not have a note. Players must sneak-use it on a note block to capture its pitch. This will give the tuning fork a note the same pitch as the note block, changing its sprite.

A tuning fork with a captured note can be used on a block to play the note on top of that block. If right clicked while not looking at a block, the note will be played at the player's location. Hitting entities with a tuning fork will also play the note at the location of the damaged entity. Playing a tuning fork in any of these ways will spawn a note particle.

Tuning Note Blocks

Using (without crouching) a tuning fork on a note block will tune the note block to the tuning fork's pitch. A message, "Set note block to *pitch*", will be displayed above the hotbar.

Controlling Golems

Players can bind tuning forks (with a captured note) to Metal Golems (Iron or Copper) they created by right clicking them. This will play the note.

Attacking an entity with a tuning fork will cause all bound Iron Golems to also become hostile towards that entity. However, they can never be made to attack villagers this way. Using the tuning fork on the ground will cause all bound copper golems to attempt to travel to that spot.

Only one golem can be bound to each tuning fork. Attempting to bind another golem will unbind the previous golem. Golems can also be unbound be re-using the tuning fork on it.
