Neapolitan
Neapolitan is a mod for Minecraft Forge that aims to add nine different flavors of food, each with unique effects. Six of the flavors have been implemented: Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry on release, with Banana, Adzuki (red bean), and Mint following.

Chocolate
Most chocolate foods give Sugar Rush, increasing player speed equivalent to its respective Speed effect but slowing you down by multiplying your speed by (3-Amplifier)/3 in the last 1/3 of the duration.

- Gives 2 () hunger, 1.4 saturation, 40 seconds of Sugar Rush I (Speed for 26.7 seconds, Slow for 13.3 seconds) and Poison I for 4 Seconds.
- Crafted using 1 Chocolate Bar and 1 Strawberries.
- Heals 1 HP. Gives 4 () hunger, 0.8 saturation and Sugar Rush I for 10 seconds (Speed for 6.7 seconds, Slow for 3.3 seconds).
- Crafted using 1 Chocolate Bar, 1 Sugar, 1 Milk Bottle, 1 Ice Cubes and 1 Bowl. Makes 1. Retains the Glass Bottle and a Bowl.
- Gives 6 () hunger, 4.8 saturation, Sugar Rush III for 30 seconds (Speed for 20 seconds, Slow for 10 seconds) and freezes the player for 3.5 seconds.
- Crafted using 1 Chocolate Ice Cream, 3 Glass Bottle and 1 Milk Bottle. Makes 3. Retains 1 Glass Bottle.
- Gives 2 () hunger, 6.0 saturation and Sugar Rush III for 15 seconds (Speed for 10 seconds, Slow for 5 Seconds).

Vanilla
Most vanilla foods give Vanilla Scent, preventing the acquisition of other status effects both positive and negative.
- Plant found in Savannas.
- Creates a poisonous lingering cloud when broken without using shears.
- Bone meal can be used to force them to grow 1-2 blocks. Can be done indefinitely until it reaches a non-Air block or build height.
- Can be planted on Dirt or Dirt variants to make Vanilla Vines. Can also be used to extend vanilla vines by placing at the end of existing vines
- Can be planted underneath or on the sides of blocks.
- Can be used to craft Lime Dye.
- Made by crafting 9 Vanilla Pods together.
- Can be crafted back into 9 Vanilla Pods.
- Obtained by smelting vanilla pods

Strawberry
Most strawberry foods heal for a certain amount of hearts at the cost of (generally) having minimal saturation.
- Can be found in plains biomes and planted on dirt, grass, coarse dirt, (todo: where else?)
- When fully grown, strawberries can be harvested
- On coarse dirt strawberries will only grow to the fourth stage, leaving them unable to undergo the final three stages, which are required for them to yield fruit
- When grown at very high altitudes or in the end dimension, strawberries have a different appearance in their final and seventh stage, and yield white strawberries instead
- When a creeper blows up inside a strawberry bush, it will burst into a healing cloud instead of exploding. Being healed by this cloud grants the love bomb advancement
- Arthropod mobs become invisible inside strawberry bushes
- Makes rustling sounds when moved through
- Harvested from fully grown Strawberry Bushes.
- Heals 2 HP. Gives 3 () hunger and 0.3 saturation.
- Compact storage block for strawberries.
- Harvested from fully grown Strawberry Bushes grown in the End or at very high altitudes.
- Heals 4 HP. Gives 5 () hunger and 0.5 saturation.
- Cannot be used for any crafting recipes that use normal strawberries.
- Compact storage block for white strawberries.
- Crafted using 1 Strawberries, 2 Wheat and 1 Sugar. Makes 2
- Heals 1 HP. Gives 5 () hunger and 0.5 saturation.
- Crafted using 1 Strawberries, 1 Sugar, 1 Milk Bottle, 1 Ice Cubes and 1 Bowl. Makes 1. Retains the Glass Bottle.
- Heals 3 HP. Gives 6 () hunger, 4.8 saturation and freezes the player for 3.5 seconds.
- Crafted using 1 Strawberry Ice Cream, 3 Glass Bottle and 1 Milk Bottle. Makes 3. Retains 1 Glass Bottle and a Bowl.
- Heals 3 HP. Gives 2 () hunger and 6.0 saturation.
- Crafted using 2 Strawberries, 2 Milk Bottle, 2 Sugar, 2 Wheat and 1 Egg. Makes 1. Retains the Glass Bottles.
- Heals 1 HP. Gives 1 () hunger and 0.2 saturation when you eat a slice. Has 7 slices.
Banana
Most banana foods give Agility, allowing the player to climb most blocks.
- Banana Plant
- Found in Jungle biomes and rarely on Beach biomes
- Naturally generated plants have a "Chimpanzee group chance" (default: 0.25, or 25%) chance of generating with up to "Chimpanzee maximum group size" (default: 10) Chimpanzees.
- Generates as part of Banana Plants as small, medium and large fronds. Small, medium and large fronds drop 1, 2 and 3 fronds respectively.
- Can be placed on blocks. Are placed as small fronds, can be increased in size to medium and then to large fronds by placing additional fronds onto the block.
- Can grow into Banana plants during rainfall if planted on Sand or Gravel. Banana plants require a minimum of 2 blocks of clearance around them horizontally in order to grow. A small frond will grow into a medium frond then into a large frond before growing into a Banana plant.

- Has slab and stair variant.
- Can be used as fuel, lasts for half an item.
- Generates as part of Banana Plants.
- Can be used as fuel to smelt 4 items in a furnace.
- Crafted by placing 4 Banana Stalk in a 2x2 in a crafting interface. Makes 4.
- 1 Banana Bundle has a chance of being generated with a Banana Plant on natural generation or when grown.
- Drops 1-3 Banana Bunches when mined without Silk Touch. Is unaffected by Fortune.
- Has a chance of spawning a Plantain Spider when mined without Silk Touch.
- Can be crafted with 9 banana bunches.
- Obtained by mining a Banana Bundle.
- Can be used to obtain 1-3 Bananas and place a banana peel on the block you are looking at or throw it if there are too many at the position or if its too far away.
- Obtained by using a Banana Bunch.
- Gives 2 () hunger, 0.8 saturation and Agility for 15 seconds.
- Compact storage block for bananas.
- Made by cooking a banana.
- Gives 4 () hunger, 2.4 saturation and Agility for 10 seconds.
- Crafted using 1 Banana, 1 Wheat and 1 Sugar.
- Gives 5 () hunger, 6.0 saturation and Agility for 30 seconds.
- Crafted using 2 Strawberries, 1 Banana and a Glass Bottle.
- Heals 2 HP. Gives 3 () hunger, 0.3 saturation and Agility for 30 seconds.
- Crafted using 1 Banana, 1 Sugar, 1 Milk Bottle, 1 Ice Cubes and 1 Bowl. Makes 1. Retains the Glass Bottle.
- Gives 6 () hunger, 4.8 saturation, Agility for 1 Minute and freezes the player for 3.5 seconds.
- Crafted using 1 Banana Ice Cream, 3 Glass Bottle and 1 Milk Bottle. Makes 3. Retains 1 Glass Bottle.
- Gives 2 () hunger, 6.0 saturation and Agility for 30 seconds.
- Crafted using 2 Banana, 2 Milk Bottle, 2 Sugar, 2 Wheat and 1 Egg. Makes 1. Retains the Glass Bottles.
- Gives 1 () hunger, 0.2 saturation and Agility for 10 seconds when you eat a slice. Has 7 slices.
- Crafted using 1 Banana and 1 Arrow. Makes 1.
- Drops a Banana Peel on the first player or mob hit or where the arrow lands, afflicting any players or mobs hit this way with Slipping for 5 seconds. This applies to all three arrows when shot with a Multishot Crossbow.

Adzuki
Most adzuki foods give Harmony, which repels harmful mobs.
- Adzuki Bushes
- Found in Forest Biomes.
- Can be harvested to yield Adzuki Beans
- Yield can be increased by having a passive mob walk over the bush
- Leaves the ground below as Adzuki Soul after harvest
- Obtained by harvesting Adzuki bushes.
- Crafted by putting 9 Adzuki Beans in a crafting table.
- Can be crafted back into 9 Adzuki Beans
- Obtained by smelting Adzuki Beans.
- Gives 3 () hunger, 2.4 saturation and Harmony for 5 seconds.
- Crafted by putting 9 Roasted Adzuki Beans in a crafting table.
- Can be crafted back into 9 Roasted Adzuki Beans
- Crafted using Roasted Adzuki Beans, Wheat and a Milk Bottle. Retains Glass Bottle.
- Gives 5 () hunger, 4.0 saturation and Harmony for 15 seconds.
- Crafted using Roasted Adzuki Beans, Sugar and Strawberries.
- Heals 2 HP. Gives 4 () hunger, 0.8 saturation and Harmony for 4 seconds.

- Gives 8 () hunger, 9.6 saturation, Harmony for 20 seconds.

- Right clicking on grass blocks causes a thorny beanstalk to generate.
Mint
Most mint foods give Berserking, granting the player increased damage and defense when they kill a mob.
- Mint Bushes
- Found growing next to ponds of water in Windswept Hills, Windswept Forest and Gravelly Windswept Hills.
- Drops Mint Sprouts and Mint Leaves equal to the number of sprouts in the block when broken. If broken before maturity only Mint Sprouts will drop. Both drops are unaffected by Fortune.
- Is planted by placing Mint Sprouts on dirt blocks and variants. Up to four mint sprouts can be planted in the same block.
- Growth can be sped up by one stage using Bone Meal.
- Planting mint next to other crops will boost their growth
- Obtained by harvesting Mint bushes.
- Gives 2 () hunger, 0.8 saturation and Berserking I for 20 seconds.
- Compact storage block for Mint Leaves.

- Craftable with a milk bucket of any kind and three bottles.
- Falls under the forge:milk tag, and is thus usable in crafting recipes.
- Made by putting a milk bucket into an empty cauldron.
- Can be used to make milkshake cauldrons.
- Small ice pieces used to craft ice cream and milkshakes
- Can be used to craft regular ice as well
- 0-2 drop when mining ice without silk touch (affected by Fortune)
- Crafted with flavored ice cream and snow blocks.
- Only really used for building.
- Dropped when a ravager is killed by a chimpanzee.
Mobs
- Spawns around Banana Trees
- Can be bred with Banana Bunches
- Are scared of plantain spiders
- Actively seek out other chimpanzees to form a group
- Spawn rarely upon breaking a Banana Bundle
- Give you slipping when attacked
Trivia
- According to previews in the discord, the upcoming flavors are bubblegum, cinnamon, and mango.
- In old versions, milkshakes had vastly different effects, often interacting with the player's existing effects and possibly giving them to or stealing them from other mobs or players. This has been changed due to being confusing and newer milkshake effects feeling "forced".
