Spinel is a mineral from Caverns & Chasms that can be used to brew tether potions and craft modified versions of some items.

When mined with a stone pickaxe or better, spinel ore drops 1-2 spinel. With the Fortune III enchantment, a single block has a chance of dropping up to 8 items.

Mob loot
Mimes drop 0-3 spinel when killed. The maximum amount is increased by 1 per level of Looting, for a maximum of 6 with Looting III.
